Treatment of Cardiomyopathy - When Technology and Medicine Come Together

Technology has brought about drastic changes in the field of medicine. Invasive surgeries have been replaced by less complicated keyhole surgeries, the painful endoscopy has been replaced by swallow able robots, and surgeries are now being performed by robots. Not only has the development made life easier, but has also increased the life expectancy of human beings. The various symptoms which used to be a mystery for doctors have now opened the door to a plethora of treatments and medicines.

Cardiomyopathy is a progressive disease in which the heart is unable to pump blood as effectively as it should due to the weakening of heart muscles. It can be classified into four different types. The dilated Cardiomyopathy causes the chambers to enlarge, the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is caused due to thickening heart muscles, the Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia is caused due to excess fat and muscles and the restrictive Cardiomyopathy is caused due to the stiffening ventricles. The Cardiomyopathy treatment vastly depends on the type of Cardiomyopathy, the extent to which it has caused damage, and a number of other factors.
